Soca Open - Task 4

We had amazing flying conditions today. In the morning we have covered sky, but the prediction was it should clear up during the day. We set the task with starting cylinder around Kobala take off, then pilots flew to the few kms to the east from take off and to the turnpoin in flatland area later on. Some pilots decided to go straight to the flatland points and this was the key to win the task today. Later on pilots flew to Drezniske ravne and back to Tolmin. Last part of the race went again into the mountains and back to the Valley. The winner of todays task is Primoz Susa with winning decision at the beginning of the race, second today is Marko Novak and third Tilen Ceglar.  Overall winner is Dusan Oroz, in front of Joze Molek and Tilen Ceglar.

Other news

Friday was the day when we finally went to our home mountain here, Kobala take off place.

We had a very rainy overcasted sky in the morning yesterday but at Lijak the sky was clearing up so we went there to make a task. A short one, due to quite low cloudbase with many pilots in goal.

As the wind didn't went down early this morning we moved the pilot field to Lijak, 40 km south of Tolmin.

We start the German open in a bit chilly weather with registration in Camp Gabrje. Tomorrow looks like a nice flying day and we should be flying in the Soča valley.
